DisplayScore is a scoreboard and live-stream app for coaches, scorekeepers and tournament directors. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who else can see it. It covers the DisplayScore mobile apps and the DisplayScore web pages at sportsled.web.app (the hosted broadcast overlay, the public results pages and the manage page).
What we collect

We do not collect your contacts, your location, your health data, or your browsing on other apps and websites. We do not sell personal information, and DisplayScore contains no third-party advertising.
Payments
DisplayScore Pro is sold two ways. Inside the iOS app it is a one-time purchase, bought through Apple's In-App Purchase; it does not renew and it does not expire. Apple processes the payment and we never see your card details. On the web and on Android, DisplayScore Pro is a subscription processed by Stripe, which likewise handles card data directly — we receive only a customer identifier and the status of your plan.
Tournament entry fees, where a tournament director has enabled them, are processed by Stripe and paid to that director, who is the merchant of record for the entry. We receive the registration details and a payment status.
What other people can see
Some DisplayScore features are public by design. If you publish a broadcast overlay, a live game link, or tournament results, the scores, team names, player names and statistics on those pages are visible to anyone with the link — that is the point of them. Your email address, account details and payment information are never shown on those pages.
If you stream to YouTube or another RTMP destination, that destination's own terms and privacy policy apply to the broadcast.
Service providers
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, hosting, analytics and cloud functions. Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States.
- Apple — In-App Purchase for iOS.
- Stripe — subscription and entry-fee payments on web and Android.
- Giphy — GIF search, when you use the GIF picker. Search terms are sent to Giphy to return results.
- Google / YouTube — only if you choose to connect a YouTube account for live streaming.
Some assistive features use Google's Gemini models via Firebase AI. Where you use one, the content you submit to that feature is sent to Google for processing and returned to the app.
How long we keep it
Content you create is kept until you delete it or delete your account. Purchase records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Analytics data is retained on Firebase's default schedule.
Your choices
- Access and correction — most of your data is editable directly in the app.
- Deletion — you can delete your account from the app, which removes your account record and the content attached to it. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
- Permissions — camera, photo library and notification access can be withdrawn at any time in your device settings. The features that need them will stop working; the rest of the app will not.
- Your purchase — on iOS, DisplayScore Pro is a one-time purchase, so there is no subscription to manage or cancel. If you reinstall the app or move to a new iPhone, use Restore Purchases on the purchase screen or in Settings to get Pro back. A Stripe subscription on web or Android is managed from the billing link in the app.
Children
DisplayScore is built for coaches, scorekeepers and event staff, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Rosters entered by a coach may contain the names and numbers of youth athletes; that information is entered and controlled by the coach or organisation, who is responsible for having the right to record it. If you believe a child's information has been provided to us improperly, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Stream keys and other secrets are stored in the device's secure keychain or keystore. Access to entitlement and payment fields is restricted so that a user cannot grant themselves a paid plan. No system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will be updated and the new version will be posted here before it takes effect.
